David Sellstrom has been part of the prophetic ministry for many years.  In addition, he is Co-Leader of the Men’s Ministry,  Co-Teaching Pastor and New Hope Board Member.  David attended Stephen Olford’s Institute for Biblical Preaching and Institute of Pastoral Studies.  He also has an International Foursquare Pastor’s License.

David and his wife, Cathy, live in Olympia near Capital City Golf Course.  He has four children and eight grandchildren.  David is CEO of Sellstrom Global Shipping, a company he and his wife founded in 2008.

Golf is David’s favorite hobby and he enjoys practicing it as often as possible.  His favorite movie is Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe and his favorite food is roast beef with potatoes, carrots, onions and gravy.

David says that being in the presence of the Lord, laughing with his wife, and playing golf bring joy to his life.

“I am an avid learner.  The word says get knowledge, and in all your getting, get knowledge.  It also says knowledge puffs up or makes prideful.  My wife, Cathy, helps me on this one.  The word also says that without knowledge my people perish.  I firmly believe that the word does not return void.  It is my calling to rightly divide the word of God, to deliver the gospel message to the saved and the unsaved.  In this season, I am placed under the leadership of Ed and Mary Madison.  Here I will be a part of the five fold ministry.  This is the position of Teaching Pastor.  It is my calling to bring sound doctrine to the Freedom Road/Prophetic Ministries.  I am called to not only bring the word, but also to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way in the service.  We are called to wait upon the Lord.  The disciples were told to “Go to Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit, that they would be filled.”  The word of God is very clear on how the church is to meet and what is to take place.  Our starting place will be forgiveness, then the operation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church.”

David’s favorite scripture is Isaiah 61.  Please click here to read the full chapter.
